Had a hefty gas bill from winter. Electricity is always high, what with the kids leaving everything on all the time. Had to order second oil and water seals for my water/oil pump after I broke the first set trying to install it - $40 a go. Kids new year's school stuff. Christmas food and presents. It never ends.

Easy solution. Do like me in the winter. No heat. If you're cold, put on another layer.

I disagree. A specific mixture of supplements is the difference between 250 pound depressed Sava and 200 pound happy Sava.

I'm often skeptical but will spend the money anyway, for science! I bought Zinc pills (with some other vitamins in them) that said they were for acne and have been giving them to my boyfriend. Wonderful results in less than a week.

Also skeptically taking raspberry keytones + green tea extract. Not expecting anything, but it can't hurt, right?

I'm also attempting 24 credits at school this term and am relying more on Fiberone bars and the like for lunch and snacks since I'm in class or working all freaking day, so I'm hoping my multivitamin does its thing.

Many paleo practitioners also fast and put their training at the end of the fast; essentially simulating a hunt: long-time no eating, run a couple miles (the chase), do burpees and pullups (the kill), carry around a log (head back to camp), and eat meat (the hunted animal).

You act like there's something crazy about a freaking low carb diet
Paleo is stupid because it deprives you of the pleasure of food for very little health benefit given similar activity levels.

You, if you assume your current values are normal for the population as a whole (everyone is different), or that your cholesterol values will stay static as you age.

I take a multivitamin, 1000mg of calcium (to prevent bone injuries), 3600mg of fish oil, and 20,000 IU's of Vitamin D (yeah I know that's 5000% RDA but it's still well below toxic levels).
The fish oil is contributing to reducing your cholesterol levels.

Not sure if it's worth it if you're broke and/or not physically active.
If you're D deficient, you won't be physically active.

Paleo diet is another fad. The average lifespan, excluding infant mortality, of paleolithic humans appears from the fossil record to be in the 20s to 30s depending on locale and era. No need to worry about long-term or chronic nutrient insufficiencies if the Mammoth you invited to lunch decides instead to gore your ass then stomp it into the ground.
