If Israel were dropping explosives willy nilly, there'd be tens of thousands of dead Palestinians. So far the death toll is under two hundred. That's clear evidence of restraint on Israel's part.John Brown did nothing wrong.

Oh, that's classic. They've only killed 136 civilians! Look how restrained they are. Warms my heart.

Do your own research - dozens of children have been killed. 9 were killed in a single attack on Sunday, even."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Over 100 dead so far in Israeli strikes on Gaza City

Civilians lost is always bad, but you can't blame Israel. To do so is totally lacking reason, Asher. You know as well as anyone that Hamas positions themselves in a manner that lends itself to this result.
Chicken****, as I said. To expect Israel to just deal with being rocketed is also lacking reason, as I said.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

In the ethical calculus, Israel is clearly lacking towards West Bank (it is building settlements on West Bank territory, and so on).
In the ethical calculus, Gaza is clearly lacking towards Israel (their territory is free of settlements, to have the blockade removed they just have to make peace, which they refuse to do).
Saying 'more Gazaians die then Israelis' has no meaning, it just means that Israel is better at protecting it's citizens and Gaza is worse (as others have pointed out, it even purposefully has it's citizens in danger, but this point could be ignored and the conclusion would still be clear). The only reason why Gaza/Israel conflict continues is because Gaza wants revenge. It has nothing to do with valid reasons like appropriating territory/etc. And you can't say the blockade is the reason, as the blockade is in place because Gaza pursued war against the Israelis.
In fact, ethically Israel would be within their rights to shoot rockets and mortars back.
The fact that we get threads like this about Gaza and not about West Bank tells me that something is wrong with people (probably listening to PR).

Jon, Israel is reluctant to pull out of the West Bank because in the past trading land for peace hasn't done them any good. You might recall the fact that Israel pulled out of Gaza about 7 years ago and the Gazans rewarded them with rockets and mortar attacks. If that happened from the West Bank they could bring the entire Israeli economy to a standstill with ease.If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?
