This just in: Israel returns fire on Syrian targets from the Golan Heights
Can you provide evidence they didn't live in the immediate vicinity of a rocket site?
All evidence available say they had nothing to do with the militants and they were hit dead-on leaving a 2-3 meter crater.
So did the Israelis not care, or were they stupid, or were they inept?

They ostensibly try to target "only the bad guys", but the results - as we've seen over decades - show they get it wrong more than they get it right. And you know what? They honestly don't give a ****. Because it's retribution.
What makes you think they don't give a ****? Do you have any idea how hard it is to get only the bad guys when they deliberately locate themselves within groups of innocents? I would say that it's a miracle civilian casualties aren't ten times what they are now, except that it's no miracle--it's a testament to the skill and discretion of the Israel Defense Forces.

You seem to be acting under the assumption that Israel is bombing sites where they were fired upon from. This is not the case.
They have a list of "targets" and they move down the list each time they get attacked.

Israel would happily agree to stop bombing and blockading Gaza in exchange for no more rocket attacks. It's Hamas that insists on perpetuating the conflict. Israel is acting in self defense, Hamas is the aggressor.
This is false. Israel does counter-battery fire and swoops in on rocket launch sites after they detect launches.
How is it false? They are clearly doing more than counter-battery fire.

Let's put this in perspective again. The rockets are decidedly low-tech, Israel has a hugely expensive anti-rocket defense system, and 3 people have died after thousands of rockets.
In response, 113 Palestinians have died.
The death rate of innocents on the Palestinian side is almost 18 times higher than Israel's.
At what point is the country in "self-defense" slaughtering an unacceptably high number of civilians? It's the equivalent of getting punched by someone, then you marching over to their house and gun down the guy and all of his family. Self-defense becomes a stretch in such a case.

Maybe because they aren't doing a comparison of lives lost, but instead are reacting to hundreds of missiles being fired into Israel by systematically destroying their enemies capabilities to continue doing so?
