Regardless of the other reasons, the fact you reside in Texas may make your vote meaningless... though maybe in 15 years it'll be meaningful as the Hispanic numbers increase and make Texas a "purple" state.

Which part is not 'bad' if you're admitting its a conservative channel? I assume you're at least allowing that 'Fair and Balanced' is utterly ridiculous?

I watched Fox News a couple times, I was surprised by how liberal it was. I was hoping for a channel that always took the conservative position, and cheerleaded for Conservatives the way that CNN roots for liberals. Given the reputation - it's all reputation. Didn't bother watching again.

Why would I be concerned about that? I plan to get married to a beautiful hispanic lady. You need to spend some time in Texas if you sincerely believe this will happen.

European Catholics generally came to the US over a hundred years ago. 15 years is a relatively short timeframe. And even now, white catholics are significantly more likely to vote for Democrats than white protestants are. (link)

Note the "fair and balanced", not "unbiased". In their opinion, their view of the news is fair and balanced, while other news is too liberal. Makes perfect sense.
