I find it disturbing you conflate states rights and human rights.

Fair enough. Similarly, such people must kill themselves to not impede any other form of life on this planet. A compelling argument.

        • So you are not comparing the abortion debate to the self-determination of states and their support of slavery?

I'm comparing your suggestion that we should not mandate our beliefs on others to Stephen Douglas' suggestion that we not mandate our beliefs on others.

So what the **** did you mention the self-determination of states for?

                • It's pretty goddamn obvious.

Stepehen Douglas didn't think we should prevent folks from owning black people.

You think we shouldn't stop people from getting abortions. If you equate abortion with murder, which you pretty much must do if you think that a fetus is a moral person, then you are saying that we shouldn't stop people from committing murder in order to not jam our beliefs down people's throats.

And to force that woman, after having already been forced and violated in the most primal, humiliating way possible, to serve as an incubator for a embryo that she did not want, and was in fact forced upon her in every sense of the word, is beyond comprehension.

There is consensus on what murder is. There is not consensus on what a 5 week old fetus is. That is the difference.

I don't give a **** if you think a condom equates to murder because it prevents a future birth as well. That's not my belief, and **** you for forcing yours on me.

Asher, you'd love my friend Andrew. He thinks the South should have won. He is also anti-gay though, so you should avoid talking about that around him.

That's why we live in this thing called a democracy. We can vote on what the consensus is.
