For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Has been for centuries as well .“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

I think that attempting to equate PBS with "1984" says more about your ridiculousness than anything else“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

No it says that things like art in particular are meant to be appreciated by the individual on their own merits, not a sanctioned endorsed thing. My apologies if the hyperbole was too heavy handed and the point was missed likely excusable given the reader is used to being told what is a good point/bad point."Just puttin on the foil" - Jeff Hanson

And I apologize if your hyperbole was ridiculously heavy handed to the point of self-parody, but that's likely because it was merely just appreciated by you in your own individual mindset regardless of its lack of merit.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Furthermore, governmental support of artists isn't exactly unheard of. Jackson Pollack and Mark Rothko, for more modern examples, were given grants by the government through the WPA. I don't see the supression in their work.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.
