          I don't really mind the Mormons who go around proselytizing. They're always very polite and respectful.

            I will admit that they were very polite and not too pushy, but when a good looking woman comes up to and starts chatting, any thoughts of religion are difficult to hold on to.

                      I expect that condescending tone was mostly perceived. If they took a condescending tone they'd never get any converts. I understand how it might seem condescending when someone talks about your lifestyle like that, and in a way it is, but they almost certainly meant no disrespect.
