So Imran confides in us that he just ended a long-term relationship with his former fiancee and KH thinks it appropriate to start calling him poor?"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

I've actually priced moving out to the western part of VA, in terms of housing and gas costs. The housing cost difference between, say, Woodstock VA and Fairfax VA is such I could chop my salary in half and I could live in the same quality quarters.
It is much, much cheaper to live in rural Georgia then in NYC. If anything I imagine the difference would be bigger then DC and Western Virgina.Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

(I saw it on FB as well, but I didn't feel as if I knew Imran enough to comment about it).Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

I would be wary of buying any durable goods with the money I viewed as "saved" from the breakup. It would have the potential to serve as a reminder every time you used it perhaps. Kinda like if you carried the engagement ring around with you or something like that. (Though maybe this is a good thing. Next time a 20 yo gives you her number you will remember the potential problems there while entering it into your contacts lists?)
Net and I have a ton of differences. The biggest is religion, but for me it's not an issue at all and for her doesn't seem to be a deal breaker. The maturity level definitely is in her favor though in our case...
Differences are one thing, of course. Having little to no common interests making the conversation a bit boring is another.

Oh, um... speaking of parents... they just called me. After 2 years of not speaking. They heard about the broken engagement and wanted to make sure I'm ok (which I am). They want to come down and see me and I they still know I'm a Christian, but they miss me and want to come down right away (easier since apparently my dad retired since the last time I spoke to them).
