From a 6th grader who readily adpated to internet culture: "Pay attention now, because your opinions suck"
"IMHO, liberal arts majors have ill-considered motivations, IMHO (IMHO)"
You don't seem to understand what motivations actually are. You are applying a prior motivation (which seems to be your own) to the motivation to assume they are working against their "real" motivation by acting on their motivation.

I don't see why my expressing an opinion leads you to the conclusion that I believe that nobody else anywhere has a differing opinion. Apparently in addition to being a Nazi, I'm also autistic.
That said, saying "somebody else's opinion is different than yours" is not really much of an argument against my opinion, since it's merely stating the obvious.
Apparently KH doesn't understand the difference between opinion and motivation either.
Jesus ****ing Christ, you are a ****ing pedant. I have NEVER seen you make a discussion better with your presence. You're the ****ing zima of poly posters.

I can see how you would feel that way. Your being thoroughly beaten with the only recourse being to throw up strawmen while running away (or avoid engaging altogether) isn't making discussion "better" in your estimation.
(Especially funny is in this case the basis of my argument is one that KH relies upon all the time in economic discussions.)
Really? Because as far as I can see, education in the us is massively subsidized by the public, private donors and parents, who are generally not the ones making decisions what subjects get studied nor whether the student attends school. It is a classic example of externalized costs.
Further, it is a choice made hy individuals who are barely into their adult lives and who I'm much more likely to believe simply make bad choices (though I give this consideration much lower weight)
