That would be pretty amusing for various reasons.

Trains are being mentioned as the alternative. Suits me fine. Not sure it will suit BC residents fine when the inevitable train wreck happens.

Another option being discussed is reversing some Eastern pipelines to move oil from AB all the way to Halifax for deep-water access.

I'm unsure of the political benefit you think he got from killing the project to begin with. I'm pretty sure you can stick a fork in Keystone.

Easier to raise money if environmentalists see him making protection of the environment a priority.

What do you think constitutes a larger part of the Democratic base? Enviromentalists or Unions?

All unions or the unions affected by building a pipeline?

Union groups as a whole, such as AFL-CIO, are in favor of the pipeline

XL is likely superuflous anyway. Energy discoveries in the US will keep the Gulf refineries busy.

The bitchumen is going to go through rail to BC ports, or by pipeline to Eastern Canada and the US.

Cristy Clark can either accept oil shipped through more dangerous means or bite down on our pipeline, and enjoy it.

If Alberta gives BC a share, then what? Next thing you know every province/state that has a pipeline will ask for the same thing. Then there's no ****ing point to extracting it in the first place if you have to give billions of dollars a year to other jurisdictions so they don't have to do anything.

BC is already getting something like $7B out of it, not to mention thousands of jobs and infrastructure investment. Enough is enough.

Why don't you want to talk about the bigger issue Asher?

Is it easier to trash BC than it is to trash the natives?

Natives aren't a problem. They always acquiesce to jobs and money. Happens in the oil sands all the time.
