As an aside, dressing a little "wrong" but in an obviously "clueless guy " way can even be endearing to women. It confirms you are straight (stereotype I know but so MANY people think that way) and it gives them something to fix.
Very true. Another thing I picked up as a young man is that women as a rule don't like men to be too fixated on their own appearance. I'm not saying you shouldn't be Alby, but try to conceal the fact from women. On the other hand they generally don't want you to be a slob either.
