Ah, yes, the "indifferent heterosexual male" look. I rock that look, myself. Don't think it's going anywhere, either.
-
yup. That's right, because men with yachts have money, and *****es like money. Which is why step one is to get a job.
In any case, yeah, I am not sure I am down with the whole " I am a proud neckbearded cubicle warrior, i don't need no fashion when we will have transhumanism in 20 years pffft" ****. There is nothing wrong with fashion, fashion is one of the only artistic ways in which a person has the opportunity to express themselves on a daily basis.

I'm not a transhumanist, try to shave my neck well, and have never been in a cubicle. I just find fashion boring, a field largely dominated by the pretentiously silly--and there's a limit on how much self-expression one can have when wearing articles produced in bulk to follow various popular trends. The whole idea of "fashion" is to follow what's hot this summer, or this fall, or whatever. It's possible to have one's own distinctive style, largely by going nuts on thrift stores and other places where a wide variety of styles are available. But even that is largely a women's thing. Men's fashion really hasn't changed much in the past couple of decades. A buttoned shirt is a buttoned shirt is a buttoned shirt. Maybe the collar changes, or the color, or the fit. But not much, and you can always find something tastefully restrained that won't look out of place no matter how times change.
To that end, I keep some nice dress shirts around for when I need to dress up; I select them for attractive colors/patterns, price and comfort in no particular order. Otherwise I just stick to plain ol' t-shirts or polos, and I'm not even too particular about what's on them.

I'm under no such delusions that cyborgs and uploaded brains won't have fashion, too. I'll be just as out of touch when "transhumanism" hits as I am now.Originally posted by Az View PostIn any case, yeah, I am not sure I am down with the whole " I am a proud neckbearded cubicle warrior, i don't need no fashion when we will have transhumanism in 20 years pffft" ****. The "John Stockton" shorts Stallone is wearing kinda gives it away, too.Originally posted by Az View Postyeah, I know what boatshoes are. I am sorry, but you don't have the right facial features for the looks that you have posted, plus...
- don't post pictures of guys on yachts - when you have a yacht, you may hang around in a borat leotard.
- don't post pictures of guys with popped collars.
- don't post pictures from the 80s. With all due respect to Arnold, and I have lots, check out Stalone in this pic. That's an iconic look for him with the hair for the 80s. I triple-sundae dare you to get out with this hairdo in summer 2012. Please. Post pictures of reactions of people.
Boat shoes were silly when they were popular. Now, they are just sad.
ACK!
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

Depends on type of people. But does that mean I should just dress like how everyone else does?Originally posted by The Mad Monk View PostDo you see a lot of people around Philly wearing those clothes?"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

But that aside, you've come to Poly to discuss fashion? I mean, seriously, look around you...

Alby persona
You seem to favor a style that might turn off 90% of women as too fashionable or metrosexual. If you are trying to look "pretty" congrats and prepare to bend over for the reaL MAN

Here, have a gallery of Wayne Gretzky's daughter, slutting it up with a vaguely Latino/Middle-Eastern looking dude. It could be you or me, as well!!1
Seriously, hold your chin up. You can fix what you have, EASY. What you need to do is:
- All of the shoes are poor, IMO. THe ones with the toxic green shoelaces are actually ok, if you lose the shoelaces, and had they been in a slightly different color.
-The shorts we can work with. You have to wear them:
-Either lower - no ****ing knees.
-somewhat higher - risky!
What you wear them with? a light, silky button down.
Next- accesories: We need to get you some shades, and maybe, just maybe a hat.
Browse around this ****:
