    • His show is worth too much money for advertisers to stay away. He'll get new sponsors.

Yup. His further non-apology apology today demonstrates precisely how many ****s he does not give.

          • What's been really funny has been watching the Republicans leadership run and hide, refusing to condemn or even say Limbaugh went over the line, because they're all deathly afraid of him as the defacto leader of the Republican Party. Romney spent four days ducking the issue and when finally pinned down he issued the most mealy mouthed non-condemnation imaginable. Republicans really are deathly afraid of upsetting the pill popping lard ass.

            • Why would a Republican politician want to comment on something Rush Limbaugh said? It's going to piss someone off, no matter what position they take. A smart politician just ignores the subject, just like the Democrats do when their rabblerousers say stupid ****.

To stand up and say the bigoted loud mouth doesn't speak for the party. To make it clear to everyone that they're distancing themselves from him.

We both know they won't do it because they're afraid of him and the pull he has with their brain damaged base. They'll run and hide instead and hope they can play dead so as not to offend his fatness. Any Republican who offends Rush has to go on his show and grovel before him begging forgiveness because if they don't hell smear them and they know it. That's why they're afraid of standing up to him.

So you think it's "really funny" that Republican politicians aren't politically retarded and avoid taking self-defeating stands on the comments of media firebrands?

                      • The politically smart thing to do would be to stand up to the extremists who are literally tanking all hope of the party winning the next general election. They're trying to get birth control outlawed, force women to have unnecessary things stuffed up their vaginas (just because they can), and that bull**** is royally pissing women voters off especially independent women. BTW women just happen to the single largest voting block in the country and they're going negative on Republicans in droves. Hell, tons of Republicans are saying they need to change course to stay electable but with the extremists like Limbaugh it's full steam ahead... Right off the cliff. Oh, and, yes, I find that funny.

Watching mass political suicide is always funny because I love laughing at politicians being stupidly self destructive.

No, the politically smart thing is to not comment on controversial **** people in the media say. You don't see Democrats rushing out to condemn Bill Maher whenever he says something inflammatory, because they're not stupid.

                          • What IS funny (or maybe just sad) is that the media doesn't latch onto the obnoxious things Bill Maher says, but is more than happy to nab Rush Limbaugh. I'd bet Limbaugh isn't even as obnoxious as Maher.

Err, no. Democrats have been making this charge for years and it's never been true.

When the DNC Chairman comes to do a public groveling session to Bill Maher then maybe you'd have a point but right now you simply don't. As usual.
