Guy, you do understand that there's no way for the student NOT to have to pay for birth control. They're either paying for it directly or through their tuition. It's idiotic to suggest you can make something free by forcing your business partner to pay for it.
Furthermore, she goes to ****ing GEORGETOWN. It's rich-person private school, big time. It's even more expensive than CMU. She can ****ing afford birth control.
Your first point is valid, to an extent.
Your second point is complete and utter bull****.

My mother went to Georgetown for a few years before transferring to GWU. She wasn't really rich; the daughter of post-war immigrants.

Georgetown refused to cover that needed medical care even though she purchased insurance from them.
No one is forced to attend a Catholic institution much less one as expensive as Georgetown if they have an issue with the results of Catholic dogma.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
Then what's the point of having health insurance if it won't help pay for your healthcare?
Why do you think that every single health care cost should be covered by all insurance policies?
The fact that relatively low, foreseeable and regular health care costs like birth control pills are covered by ANY insurance policies is a travesty of ****ing tax policy and the associated legislative meddling and mandate creep.
**** this whiny, entitled *****, and **** all you morons who think that health care costs can ever be contained in a world where more and more costs are mandated to be covered and less and less costs come out of pocket. Demand curves slope down, and it's time you ****ing mouthbreathing soft-headed, econ-denying empathy queens admitted it.

No one forced them to take government money either but they did so now guess who gets to set the standards? If they don't like it then they should go cold turkey and stop taking the government's money. Yes, this includes Federal Student Aid.
BTW no college is a "Catholic institution" but a separate line of business from the Church even if it is loosely affiliated. The Catholic Church also owns three banks in this country as well as one of the largest venture capital funds. Are you claiming those are also church functions with an exemption?
BTW I'd like to add that our current right wing dominated Supreme Court has already ruled that, no, none of those secondary lines of business are Church functions covered by religious exemptions including affiliated colleges.
As 98 big advertisers ditch ‘offensive’ shows, right-wing talk radio stands to get rocked. By John Avlon.
It's not just Limbaugh any more as big companies have started pulling ads from right wing programs all over the place. It seems advertisers are getting gun shy of associating their brand names with "offensive" programs. Makes sense to me.

Maybe if you just stopped running an overly complicated, overly expensive, discriminatory private healthcare system that the rest of the world laughs at, you might not have these problems.

Then let the insurance companies cover whatever they want and let the consumers be free to decide which plans they want to buy.
However, the advantage of providing contraceptives to reduce healthcare costs is that it reduces the number of unwanted pregnancies, especially among the medicaid population. Insurance companies can just increase their rates according to the cost of providing contraceptives. This shifts more of the costs away from the government and back to the insurance pools (consumers).

But I am not free to get medical care without health insurance, and I don't like any of the health insurances.

(and because of the tax structure, I don't really pay for health insurance anyways).

Exactly, consumers don't have enough choice in their healthcare decisions in our current system.
