But why stop there? Why not compare the employment savings of the new regulations to a fictional regulation which requires businesses to cut 100% of their staff and eat babies? Then we can really bask in the glory that is Obamacare!

One look at the hundreds of tea party signs tells me, yes, racism and homophobia are indeed central to the Republican self identity. As is hatred for the less fortunate even though most of the dumb asses voting for Republicans are the less fortunate. There is substantial evidence that regulations which preferentially discriminate in favor of small business leads to more small businesses. Further, small businesses tend to operate far less efficiently than larger businesses. The conclusion is pretty self-evident.

Thankfully, people are informed well in advanced, so that they can get insurance to avoid getting fined.

If only they were well informed enough to get insurance without the government conditionally taxing them. Wouldn't you think that the risk of uterine cancer or some other life-threatening medical ailment would be sufficient?

See, I don't see why taxpayers (or insurers) should have to foot the bill unconditionally for people's health when they themselves don't seem to care that much about it.
