You do realize that they already pay the majority of taxes the federal government taxes from the general public, right?I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

You do realize they already hold the vast proportion of the nations wealth right? So you think its ok for a small group to sit on most of the countries money and then cry like little *****es because they're expected to contribute a decent amount back to supporting the country that allowed them to make that money in the first place?Originally posted by DinoDoc View PostYou do realize that they already pay the majority of taxes the federal government taxes from the general public, right?

What percentage of a person's wealth do you consider a decent amount for the government to take off the top? And why.Originally posted by kentonio View Postblah, blah, blahI make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

I know Iowa is very proud and even zealous of it's position as the first primary in the country but the hard truth is Iowa has never mattered. Very few to almost none of the people who win in Iowa win the nomination. It's worse then just Iowans like odd balls and instead it is people in Iowa have a nack for picking candidates which people in the real urban centers of America actively hate. Winning in Iowa is pretty much a bell weather for determining which candidates are repulsive losers who everyone but Iowans hate.Originally posted by Dr Strangelove View PostWhen was the last time that Iowa really mattered?

BTW I really, really hope Ron Paul wins in Iowa and New Hampshire because I want him to feel encouraged so he makes a third party run using the libertarian or Americans United ticket. He should easily be able to pick up 20% of the total vote taking 80% or more of it from the Republicans.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Even if you exclude incumbents running unopposed, the majority of Iowa caucus winners since 1976 have gone on to win the nomination. It's the first primary vote, and it's not a guarantee of victory, but it's better to win in Iowa than to lose.Originally posted by Dinner View PostVery few to almost none of the people who win in Iowa win the nomination.John Brown did nothing wrong.
