The best that can be done to win converts, IMO, is simply to give Christianity a good name. And part of that is being honest and striking down blatant illogic such as you've been pushing here, not siding with it because "we're on the same team."

Kid, suppose we had a poster on here named "Simon Legree," a devout Lutheran, say, who argued for the faith on the grounds that "its encouragement of meekness and charity has prevented the black people from doing bad things to our white women all these years, and is thus a clear social good." Would you:

1. Ignore Simon and let him have his say without contradicting him, because he appears to be a sincere Christian making a sincere effort to fight for the faith, or
2. Fight him tooth and nail, because arguing for Christianity with horrible arguments makes Christianity seem horrible? Note that he has not at any point said anything controversial about Christian doctrine, only used his daffy and offensive other beliefs to try to promote Christianity.

Based on this thread alone, calling Kid ignorant is probably the understatement of the year.

Using one's existence as proof that god exists is setting the bar really low.

This really is simply a derivation of the strong anthropic principle, which states the universe is compelled to be the way it is in order to allow the creation of intelligence. On second thought that in no way applies to Kid.
