The man has 0 charisma. I think that's the major issue. Most people won't pay attention enough to him to actually hear what he's saying.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

I'm waiting for the candidate who has actual fake life experience playing Civ. I'm worried that none of these clowns knows how to handle a SoD or balance a budget while still leading in the space race.
      John Brown did nothing wrong.

re: Ron Paul & charisma - Well that and no matter how many people give lip service that they would like a libertarian to run, when push comes to shove, and specifics are being discussed they recoil at what the libertarian says needs to be cut.

And after a century of charismatic "leaders" running the country into the ground, Americans still haven't learned their lesson. Though I suppose it's human nature to put charm above substance. See: Newt leading (LOL)

Ron Paul's sane voice is drowned out by a chorus of propaganda and GOP/AIPAC talking points from a dozen other Repub candidates.

But by far the most blame lies with our absolutely pathetic, lying, lapdog establishment media. They parrot establishment talking points -left and right - day after day, year after year, decade after decade. And a befuddled and ignorant American public can scarcely make a modicum of sense out of the tragic end their country will soon meet.

I don't know, I think a lot of Ron Paul's ideas are asinine.

As long as he wants to legalize weed, I don't care what he says about the Fed.

That's an amusing notion. You mean the century during which America rose to prominence and became the world's sole superpower?

Maybe it's the century where Nixon is considered charismatic.

Oh sure, MRT, there are plenty of folks who oppose him on the issues. The right smears him for being a peacemonger, and the left smears him for supporting individual liberty.

Behind all that, which is mostly propaganda, lies a criminal US political/economic establishment that is deathly afraid of a US population reclaiming its birthright to LIBERTY.

Obviously the right and left are actually working together, and they only pretend to be separate parties so they can both pay lip service to different aspects of LIBERTY and take the votes of freedom lovers while actively undermining LIBERTY when they are elected. If they just ran as one anti-liberty party they would lose to LIBERTY.

Weed is all of the economic stimulus that is needed.

Isn't it odd that someone who possesses 0 charisma could run such a successful presidential campaign? A little... suspicious?

Like I said, a lot of people like to claim libertarianism until they get wind of the specific programs that are meant to be cut.

I agree. Republicans love government and collectivism as much as the Democrats love warmongering. Their rhetoric is at odds on the surface, but in terms of policy there ain't a dimes worth of difference between the two parties.
