The man has 0 charisma. I think that's the major issue. Most people won't pay attention enough to him to actually hear what he's saying.

re: Ron Paul & charisma - Well that and no matter how many people give lip service that they would like a libertarian to run, when push comes to shove, and specifics are being discussed they recoil at what the libertarian says needs to be cut.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

And after a century of charismatic "leaders" running the country into the ground, Americans still haven't learned their lesson. Though I suppose it's human nature to put charm above substance. See: Newt leading (LOL)
Ron Paul's sane voice is drowned out by a chorus of propaganda and GOP/AIPAC talking points from a dozen other Repub candidates.
But by far the most blame lies with our absolutely pathetic, lying, lapdog establishment media. They parrot establishment talking points -left and right - day after day, year after year, decade after decade. And a befuddled and ignorant American public can scarcely make a modicum of sense out of the tragic end their country will soon meet.

Oh sure, MRT, there are plenty of folks who oppose him on the issues. The right smears him for being a peacemonger, and the left smears him for supporting individual liberty.
Behind all that, which is mostly propaganda, lies a criminal US political/economic establishment that is deathly afraid of a US population reclaiming its birthright to LIBERTY.
