A couple of years ago I was at the South by Southwest Film/Music Festival in Austin, Tx. I guy came up to me and tried to sell me marijuana. I found the nearest police and gave him a description of the guy. The Officer, simply told me that he would keep an eye out. He did'nt even write down my description. What can make a nigga wanna fight a whole night club/Figure that he ought to maybe be a pimp simply 'cause he don't like love/What can make a nigga wanna achy, break all rules/In a book when it took a lot to get you hooked up to this volume/

the real question is, why is weed illegal, yet alcohol and tobacco are ok?
It has a very small impact on usage, and puts the profits from the production and sale of the drugs into the hands of criminals instead of tax paying businesses. In addition, taxpayer's money gets wasted paying for additional police and prisons.
How exactly does society benefit from Prohibition?Libraries are state sanctioned, so they're technically engaged in privateering. - Felch

To deny this is foolish.
Of course, it doesn't seem to be the case that it destroys more lives than tobacco or alcohol.
