Which is why in NL weed has been ´legal´ (for all practical purposes) for many years. You can also get methadon for free at specialized clinics (the government did the math, and figured that providing meth to addicts is cheaper than society´s cost for all the criminal activity that meth-heads would normally enact).

I think you might be mixing it up with heroin there. Pot's not physically addictive, and I've knew plenty of potheads in college who could abstain long enough to study, perform well in class and maintain a high GPA--and no, they weren't all philosophy majors. In fact, I don't think any of them were.

And yeah, I've hung around with them when they were stoned. I wouldn't want that crap in my neurons, but if they do, more power to them.
