At this point I'm putting you on ignore. It's probably your own wish, but I think you made a bad decision by resorting to what you did.
Er, I'm pretty sure Loin's correct there; the kids say something like "go up, baldy, go up." Now, what "go up" means is, I suppose, open to interpretation--do you know of any reason to believe it means "you are a false prophet?" If not, they're just mocking him for baldness.

      23. And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
      24. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

Seriously, Kidicious, it might be a good idea to actually read the bible before you quote from it. Especially if you're going to falsely accuse others of lying about its contents.

YHVH is an ******* of a god. As are most of his worshipers.

Has she considered renaming the character "Durga?" IIRC it's the same deity, just in a different, cooler form. Fewer skulls, more weapons.

Old Testament God is fairly consistent - he thought that the Hebrews were the bee's knees (except when they were ****ing up and worshiping golden calves etc) and that everybody else was sub-human filth, which is no surprise considering that the Hebrews thought that the Hebrews were the bee's knees and that everybody else was sub-human filth. "God wants us to kill our enemies, men women and children, because he hates them." "Well that's convenient, given that we hate them too."

                IOW, YHVH is scum.

Which is the opposite of what the Xians want us to believe.

YHVH is a god of hate, not love.

No, but if the question is whether they're mocking him for being a prophet (real or false), or just for being bald, textual evidence is strong for the latter, very weak for the former.

                  • What do you think that 'go up' referred to.

Remember, this is the prophet Elisha.

                    • Right, so the Elisha, a prophet, is so ****ing vain that he asks God to kill some kids for making fun of him AND GOD AGREES THAT'S A GOOD IDEA.

                      **** religion, man. It's a ****ing joke.

Unfortunately the joke isn't very funny anymore given the body count it's caused.

YHVH is an ******* and so are most of his followers.

I haven't the foggiest what "go up" means. I'm going to guess it's supposed to mean "go to heaven" or something, but that's pretty nonsensical. It wouldn't really work as a reference to Elijah, IIRC, because the chariot-to-heaven incident happened in the middle of nowhere, away from witnesses.

The bears killed 42 (according to the account), probably there were far more. And the hebrew word used was used to describe boys below the age of 30. There could have been more harm intended, from such a crowd. Additionally, this was between Jericho and Bethel, where Elisha had just performed a miracle (cleansing the water supply).

Finally, the point wasn't particularly Elisha's baldness, the point is the 'go up'. This was poking fun at the claim that Elijah had ascended in a whirlwind (which was mocking God's power). Basically they were telling him to die.

God deserves our respect and reverence, in many places in the Bible this is clear. Even in the new testament. Many Christians forget this today.

If it is in the Bible, obviously Elisha talked about it. When Elisha returned without Elijah obviously people would have asked 'what happened'. Unless it says to the contrary (it doesn't), Elisha would have told them. Probably there were doubters (just like today).

Unless you believe that God dictated the story to the writers.

This is a pathetic post-hoc attempt at justification of what is obviously the primitive morality of a petty tribal religion. 90% of the *******s on Apolyton behave better than the magical creator of the universe does in this story. **** your childish God and his childish, vain prophets. They are the fevered imaginings of a bunch of nomad ****ing primitives.
