On the other hand you could dig out a textbook on American history (specifically one dealing with that phase of imperialist aggression that included grabbing Cuba and Puerto Rico and 'liberating' the Philippines from the Spanish and then the Filipinos) and read about the concentration camps in Cuba.
This has been a public information service, courtesy of several articles in 'History Today' and chatting to some Filipino friends in Manchester about 30 years ago.Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.

For lack of effort, your posts containing little to nothing on the record of Attlee's government win the prize. Odd, in a thread you start on Attlee...Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.

Why do people talk about concentration camps like they're a bad thing?Originally posted by molly bloom View PostOn the other hand you could dig out a textbook on American history (specifically one dealing with that phase of imperialist aggression that included grabbing Cuba and Puerto Rico and 'liberating' the Philippines from the Spanish and then the Filipinos) and read about the concentration camps in Cuba.John Brown did nothing wrong.

Because they confuse them with extermination camps, possibly. On the other hand, a badly run concentration camp can be unpleasant too, just not quite as deadly.Originally posted by Felch View PostWhy do people talk about concentration camps like they're a bad thing?Vive la liberte.
