  • Are you part of the 1%?

I was surprised at how much the top 1% of AGI has dropped in the US, per CNN. It went from 425k in 2007 to 345k in 2009. This is by household income, btw.

Yes, as everyone loves to point out. I don't get why everyone seems to think that you are exploiting people just for being in the 1%. Excuse me, I have to go harass and insult some beggars hanging out on Murray Avenue.

I have no aspirations for management, so barring a lottery win I doubt I'll ever be in the 1%. And I also don't play the lottery.

Is that global or just the US? I have trouble believing that 1/10,000 Americans makes $5 a year.

Barely in 2010. If recovery happens I expect to drop back out as top 1% returns back to mid 500k range. Likely wont have the big wife bonus that we had in 2010 either.

I have a highly leveraged position on the US economy. Recovery -> more money for me

I think you've given enough hints about what your point in this thread is.

I think the "99%" and "1%" rhetoric was never meant to be taken so literally.

What point would that be, you twit?

I was actually surprised by how much their numbers have shrunk.

I make between 5 and 15 times minimum wage (hourly, assuming a 3000 hour year). This is sufficiently broad that I'm not giving up anything...
