You can put Firefox on a real phone just fine.

So your one example of an Opera technology that "all other browsers" will adopt is Opera Turbo. This is a feature that's been around for a couple of years that no other browser maker even is thinking of adopting.

Maybe Opera is for people in third world countries and slow internet and don't mind the web becoming a pixelated mess. Certainly not a "premium" product and certainly not for connoisseurs.

As to UI... Opera was a pioneer of tabs and still has the most advanced tabbed
browsing implementation. Also a pioneer of homescreen shortcut grid and various
other things taken for granted nowadays. Oh yeah... can you undo closing of a
tab in Chr/FFx/IE? Can you undo closing of a window with 20 tabs? Opera pwns
whichever way you look at it.

I can undo closing of a tab in any browser. I get a pop up asking me if I'd like to close a window with 20 tabs in other browsers.

Here's another thing. I have Opera on my Nokia phone, on my Apple iPad
and on my PC. And guess what? Speed dial, bookmarks and passwords are
synchronised on all three via the cloud.

Now, first of all there is no other browser that is available for all those three
platforms (and others). And secondly, if there is, it probably doesn't sync
with its brethren on other devices.

Uh. By what standard? What does it do that you can't do in Firefox?

You mean the first thing I disable in a new browser?

            Yes.

If you have three windows, three tabs in each, and you accidentally
close a window and want to get it back, tabs and all, can you?

Yes. I do this all the time.

This is seriously a ridiculously pathetic argument. Bookmark syncing is available on all platforms regardless of browser.

How about some real-life advantages in the other browsers?
                    1) They offer actual extensibility
                    2) They will sync your add-ons/extensions
                    3) They are faster
                    4) They don't look and feel like ass

As for copying, I think you'll find Opera 11 looks a TON like Chrome. And Chrome looked like Chrome before Opera did.

                      Yes, you can.

Last I checked it's actually even more powerful than Opera's, giving you a full list of recently closed tabs and recently closed windows to restore.

Another ****ing retarded feature courtesy of Opera. It seriously makes zero sense from a functional perspective and efficiency perspective. No other browser has baked it in for a reason. There's tons of extensions to implement it on other browsers but they're far from popular. And it's not because they're good.

You probably have never used gestures extensively. It takes some
getting used to, but there is simply no quicker way to do some things
than with the mouse. For example, how do people even go back a
page without gestures? Do they have to click on a small icon somewhere
other than where the mouse pointer is at the moment? Aiming for 20x20
pixel icons on the big screen?

                          How medieval.

I've used mouse gestures in FF for years, for the sole purpose of quickly moving to the page top/bottom or switching between left/right tabs. Four gestures - the rest are disabled.

                              Right click -> "back"

Works the same way on my phone: double-tap -> "back"

I use the thumb button on my mouse. Similar for forward. Even faster than gestures. I middle click links to open in background tabs.

Seems to me that the only reason you prefer Opera is because you don't know any better.
