Drinking that much will do that to you. The cop told me that when they came to pick him up the next day, in the afternoon, he was unable to stand.

So I dunno how much he had to drink that night...

It's interestingly to see MrFun and Asher call them "self-hating" gays. Do either of you admit to violating your own moral code, to feeling shame?

I don't see anything wrong with your questioning. But I would like to share. Christians can't do good beyond using their freewill to surrender to God. However, trully surrendering is no task that is as easy as it's seems. This seems to be what Ben is saying, unless I'm wrong.

I'm not sure how Ben's **** jives with his claims that a murderer can't be a Christian because he murdered.

            You're referring to Breivik?

I never made this argument. I argued that Brievik isn't a Christian because he explicitly explained that he wasn't a practicing Christian.

            Radical, eh?

That depends whether they are a psychopath or not. A psycho path maybe not have the will to repent.

To actually be a Christian you have to change. Psychologists say that psychopaths have no capacity to change.

                    You have to change?

Oh because unlike in Islam where everyone is born a Muslim, in Christianity, you have to get baptized... which is why all the unbaptized babies go to limbo.

I have no opinion about where babies go. Muslims don't have to change? Really?

                      • Jesus told me to tell you to stop touching yourself to him.

                        What does that mean?

                        • I think it's neccessary for Christians to believe that human nature is wicked, because that is the only way the religion can work. Jesus makes the weak perfect in his strength. Christians must love and depend on God. Too many Christians believe in the goodness of man these days.

Exactly, it's all a bunch of hokum dependent on flawed beliefs.

All humans are born Muslim because Islam is (supposed to be) the true faith and God created man.

"And [mention] when your Lord took from the children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants and made them testify of themselves, [saying to them], 'Am I not your Lord?' They said, 'Yes, we have testified.' [This] - lest you should say on the day of Resurrection, 'Indeed, we were of this unaware.'"
                              -al-Araf 172

                              What the hadith say:

"The funeral prayer should be offered for every child even if he were the son of a prostitute as he was born with a true faith of Islam."
                              -Narrated by ibn Shihab

"Allah's Apostle said, 'Every child is born with a true faith of Islam but his parents convert him to Judaism, Christianity, or Magainism'"
                              -Narrated by Abu Huraira

Why would, in any religion, God create man without knowledge of Him or create man as an unbeliever?

Oh wait. This is backwards Christianity that believes in concepts like sin being hereditary and man being born in sin.

In Islam, man is not born a sinner. Man is born pure and Muslim, as a creation of God. It is the actions of the man which determine if he is a sinner or not, a Muslim or not, or have paradise or not.

In fact, what does the Qur'an say about Adam?

"And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.

And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."

But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."

Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful."
                              -al Baqarah 34-37

God forgave Adam who repented. God did then condemn all his children to damnation because of the sin of an ancestor! That is against the entire spirit of holding a man accountable for only what he does which should be the framework of any moral or ethical system.

As usual, Christians have created a society which goes completely against their core beliefs practicing constant double-think because even they realize, deep down, the absurdity of Christian dogma.

Completely different conception of what man is between Islam and Christianity. How can God's creation be borne wicked, even before a single thought or action?

In the Qur'an, the angels bowed down before Adam. Man is God's most perfect creation and the most god-like.

Read my post. I have always maintained, though I am an atheist, that if an Abrahamic religion must be followed by someone, it should be Islam. Islam is the only one that is consistent and makes sense.

I think we, in a Western society, forget that the Christian viewpoint is not some eternal religious view. For the sake of pluralism, you often see Christians claim that all religions are different ways of saying the same thing (and yes, this is exactly wrong, judging from the message of Jesus presented in the Gospels), but it's not the same thing. Religions are very different. And our Western conception of what religion is is entirely colored by Christian dogma.
