2. Find a movie she'd like to watch.
3. Nonchalantly ask her to watch it.
4. Treat her to a dinner. Act like you are interested in what she does.
5. Invite her to your house (use a viable pretext) if she shows her attraction to you.
6. Gradually steer her toward sex, so you don't get arrested for attempted rape.

If at any point from 1 to 5 she seems reluctant, don't force your way in, adapt. If she says she has classes, find out which. If it's art, go to a museum, if it's accounting, offer to drop by and help her with her homework.

What gets me about this whole business (and I'm not referring specifically to Al, but the Mating Game in general) is the reductionism that goes on.

"Girls like this. Girls hate that." - No, I don't think it is that simple.

Different people have different tastes and preferences. Some women might prefer a more direct approach, while others might prefer a less direct approach.

Al, this girl is not going to call you, so your texting technique does not work. A face to face conversation, can be easier and harder. It will depend on what you say and how you say it. Smile confidently when you talk to the next woman, while you are talking the confidence and positive energy should come out through your words, "You know I really like you. You're really x, y or z(try adventurous). Have you ever tried Thai food, I know this good/great place that I want to take you to in Midtown." This works. Al, have you ever watched a comedian. A comedian has to know his audience, have great timing and delivery. Face to face is going to beat texting for you. You have any of the following you want the woman to be looking/noticing while you are trying to make your so-called sale: a nice smile, nice/sexy voice, great physique, good dresser, good personality. I have never heard of a car salesman that sold his vehicles by texting. They always try to get you to come to the lot.

Much like what different women find attractive, also is the fact that the SAME woman would find different things attractive at the same guy. As everyone already knows, women know if they basically accept you as a partner in seconds. Luckily enough for Al, he is appealing to what most women want - a tall, well-built, educated man. This is why his initial interaction works, mostly - in getting numbers, or otherwise initally OKing. They stereotype, like all humans do, and what they like what they think they see.

Unfortunately, our hero has no idea what to with this gift.

Al is right in the fact that a soft approach is not something that squares off in most women's (and generally, people's) minds with his jock looks. What he gets wrong is what it means to be a hot-stuff player jock . So what WILL work? Does he have to be a rape-bound caveman?

Hell no. Everything needs to be made flirtatiously, lightheartedly. No "GROG SEX NOW" - only very specific women like this, and they are few and inbetweeen, and no, "BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS, I LIKE YOUUUUU". Coy, flirty, aloof, slightly cocky. You are hot ****, son, don't sell yourself short. Face-to-face approach, talkative, quick on your feet, that's what you should be.


I do agree with KH that your career affects you negatively, and you should do something about it, and this is highly connected.
Mostly, because YOU WANT IT, and you are not satisfied with your current standing in life, in the world. Either get a good job, or stop caring about it. I fear your chances of getting laid otherwise.
