OK she is showing interest in you. Let her make "work friends" with you first. Don't start chatting her up or let her know that you are interested in a date. But Alby clearly has no confidence and I expect he would find a way to stuff it up if he just asks her out. Therefore I suggest letting her establish the connection and earn his goodwill for a week or two. That should make Alby feel more confident and less impulsive, then he can ask her out. All he need do, at first, is respond with increasing implicit approval. I'm with Oerdin, most girls want the guy to make the first move. But don't just ask her out and have no idea where you want to go. Make a plan to ask her out some place you both feel comfortable and can also be a topic of conversation. Movies, concerts are good with dinner before. You probably want to loosen her up with a couple of jokes and good conversation before you ask her out then put the question somewhere in the conversation.
