I have never heard a Scot joke. In the U.S. I don't think most people distinguish between a person from Scotland, Wales or England.
An untrained Chinese person can't cook chinese food better than a well trained mexican person. Just because a person is from a certain place does not mean they are inherently better at cooking the food. All black people can't dance and both of my sons hate watermelon(the shame of it).
I do dislike other peoples kids!!! So I understand the desire to fix bayonets. What can make a nigga wanna fight a whole night club/Figure that he ought to maybe be a pimp simply 'cause he don't like love/What can make a nigga wanna achy, break all rules/In a book when it took a lot to get you hooked up to this volume/
What can make a nigga wanna loose all faith in/Anything that he can't feel through his chest wit sensation

You might not have heard a Scot joke but I've heard a never ending stream of them. Trust me when I say they are out there and it's not just Disney making Scrouge McDuck jokes.
Either way growing up we were all friends and we'd all jump in if one of our friends got into a fight but you better believe we were relentless in calling each other racial names, making fun of each other's national origins, and most of all (or at least we all held it in the highest regard) when someone made a great jab at a friend's mother. I grew up in one of the most racially diverse states in the country and our group included various white, black, Asian, and Latin American members, we were all great friends, but we all took jabs about race and national origin at each other. To complain about it was to be seen as a ***** but to take part in it, even when you were the one getting dog piled on, was to take part in male bonding. I suppose it seems strange to outsiders but it was what we all did and we all were great friends even though calling each other names was a major part of how we interacted. I don't think this is a bad thing as instead of making such comments uncrossable lines we got it out in the open, learned to get over it, and we all got faster at responding to such things with a witty cut down of our own. You want American to progress then that's the way it will be done because that's the way it has always been done (go back to 1910 and I'm positive you'll see the kids doing the exact same sort of ****).Last edited by Dinner; July 5, 2011, 21:31.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Seriously, we'd all take turns calling each other names then turn around and invite each other to a beach party or BBQ or to go fishing and we were all better friends because of it. No topic was off the table and no one actually wanted to hurt their friend's feelings while no one ever took the jabs seriously. It was just all part of teenage bonding and to this day many of my best friends who I have known longest all continue with such behavior even though most of us now have our own children many, if not most, of whom are mixed race. It's just part of the culture.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Yes, because that was the purpose of All in the Family. For all the racist people to high-five each other when Archie Bunker said something"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
"I have nothing against Wilson, but he's nowhere near the same calibre of QB as Flutie. Flutie threw for 5k+ yards in the CFL." -Ben Kenobi
