Do you think this is a debate of some kind, you imbecile? Your posts are flagrantly stupid. If you want an explanation see kuci or ph's posts in this thread.

Moreover, every post you've ever made on something even vaguely finance-related has managed to be wrong, which is what tells me that whatever you do for a living, it isn't anything in finance that requires thought.

oh, so shift the need for argumentation to others, that's a good one. in extensio, 'wrong' is a good conclusion based on saying idiot, imbecile and moron all the time! good thinking.

Duh, he does things like obscure Greek debts.

Goldman Sachs faces Fed inquiry over Greek debt
Goldman Sachs' role in masking Greece's real debt burden is to be investigated by the US Federal Reserve and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

of course, ECB would not be happy to guarantee such an exchange rate, as effectively they'd be devaluing the euro and paying off the greek debt with their own money. so this will never happen. besides, do you know how 'expensive' it is to introduce, let alone change a national currency? everything has to be changed (back)! designing/printing/distributing money is no small feat... and nobody would have any faith in it, so it would not circulate widely.

even if something like this happens, this is a frankenstein solution that is not good for them in the long run. but hey, you can't accuse the mediterranean cultures of thinking beyond today too far.

Having a Drachma again would pretty much solve all the problems.

zoesdflak;sjdf, how can you be this ****ing stupid?

What do you think would happen if, instead of doing your suggested 1 Drachma : 1 Euro ratio, Greece came up with a new currency (the "SuperDrachma") and released that at a 1 SuperDrachma : 10 Euro ratio? What if they then decided that was a silly name and renamed the currency the "Drachma" without changing any of the numbers on the bills?

ok, an actual argument, this i can work with!

i was referring to a situation where the ECB negotiates an exchange rate which is temporarily put in place; ECB and Greece supporting/sustaining levels between boundaries.
