Guess the whole Americans are all far right-wing by the standards of Europe thing aint so concrete... our political spectrum is just different than yours.

The VVD is not right wing loony. VVD (liberal) is the biggest party and has been around forever. The other normal parties are the CDA (christian) and the PvdA (labour). The other ones, they're the loonies... Especially SP, they want to convert to communism. And SGP wants to put women back to chains in the kitchen.

Istanbul hasn't been the capital of any Turkish state since the Ottomans fell after WW1. Ankara has been the capital since the start afaik.
