well, sort-of. the CDA might like Turkey to join, not because they like Islam so much, but because they can get more attention to Christian traditions through the backdoor.

VVD at the moment doesn't want Turkey to join.

Because, as in England, there's quite a few foreign people who never bother to learn the local language (in England, that includes English!). That way immigrants learn to speak Dutch/English.

More importantly, there's quite a few mosques that are financed by extremists, who send over extremists from Saudi Arabia to preach in Arab. Kill all jews, throw gay people from high buildings, that kind of stuff. The idea is to know what they are preaching about.
