It seems Martin is finally getting serious about writing the winds of winter as just yesterday, at Comicon, he said he will not be writing an episode for season five of game of thrones as he has to devote all of his time to writing the next book. He even said "people are getting antsy". He can definitely get TWOW out before the series passes that point but there is no way he's going to get book seven out on time. Still, a few pages back in this thread I was complaining about how GRRM kept putting tons of new projects in front of TWOW so I'm just happy the guy has FINALLY said "Oh, ok...
