That was fantastic. That crane shot in the castle courtyard around 40 minutes in? Holy ****ing ****.

Ollie the elevator boy kept his head in the game. Jon Snow could learn something from him.

Agreed. Everything north of Winterfell has been my least favorite part so far.Originally posted by Imran Siddiqui View PostBesides, the Night's Watch stuff is mostly dull anyways. Every once in a while it gets interesting.
The King's Landing stuff is generally the best stuff, followed by the stuff that happens in the Riverlands and the Vale. Winterfell is ok as well whenever someone is in it. Also Dorne is pretty cool... and the Reach - Hell, everything Winterfell and below is interesting (FTR, the torture of Theon was only alluded to in the books and not shown over and over until it got super boring as in the show... and besides, I think the Dreadfort is slightly north of Winterfell, so it'd fit my map).

Spoiler:Jon is doing what he's supposed to and what the readers want him to do, whereas Dany just ****s around in Meereen for forever and ever, after basically everyone tells her "Hizdahr is obviously in charge of the sons of the harpy, the Shavepate is up to no good, no don't walk among the sick people, get the **** out Jesus Christ" but Jon Snow is protecting the Wall from the Others.Spoiler:Mereen 90210.

Spoiler:Doing what you are supposed to doesn't make it all that interesting. I mean that's why Kevan Lannister was killed - Cersei makes KL much more interesting
Snow's sojourn with the Wildlings is cool and the Battle for the Wall is great, but then, its basically doing not much - Snow being elected Lord Commander is utterly ridiculous, but its something that we just have to go with

To be fair, Dany in the books is pretty smug and self-righteous during this time of the show.Originally posted by regexcellent View Postshe appears to be stuck on the smug self-righteousness setting, which isn't working.

They have a fat woman and a hot redhead tooOriginally posted by DaShi View PostDanaerys is boring, but I'd prefer to have more than the sausage-fest that is the Night's Watch.

Okay, and her costumes in particular are good for other reasons too.
