Interesting. I wonder if that means the show will have the five year gap (or a very accelerated version of the events of 4/5) that GRRM originally tried for? It would let the kids age properly and skip the whole Meereenese knot problem...

They were too old to be his sons. He just ****ed their mom because he can't keep it in his pants. But he's of an age with Robb, and those kids would be something like 4 and 6 or 7 or something, so unless he ****ed their mom when he was 10...

Also, don't get me wrong, I'm not unsympathetic to Theon's perspective of being a hostage. But, he still betrayed his foster brother's trust, backed the wrong horse, and did not push hard enough for his plan which was both extremely logical and ethical. He then murdered a couple orphans. In the world of Westeros, it is not hard to argue that he deserved punishment for his transgressions; I also should state that his storyline in book 5 is my absolute favorite, and I am rooting very hard for his continued redemption.

Also in the books it seems that the kids he killed to make it look like he'd killed Bran and Rickon and were his own sons. Things don't end well for kinslayers in Westeros...

The castration thing is never directly said in the book. There are bits where the bastard of Bolton tells Theon "you're not even a man" but he never came out and said Theon's balls got cut off plus there was the whole bit about renaming him Reek and making him pretend to be a dog. It was nice to see some T&A work its way back into the show though.

When Ramsey in the books is about to consume his marriage with fake arya, theon is brought in to 'prepare' her. Then Theon starts to stutter that he can't do that because of "you know". Then Ramsey says he should just use his tongue.

I think it's obvious in the books that he lost his dick.
And in the show it's also kept a bit in the dark. We do not see the cutting happening. It's only been hinted about.

I thought it was done in line with the sue.

My wife doesn't like all the theon torturing. I think it's a bit over the top.

I would have loved it if they would kept more focus on the inner struggle of the torturing.
Ramsey flying a finger, and then leaving Theon a couple of days alone, while his finger starts to swear and the pain is taking over.
until Theon started to beg ramsey to remove the finger.

It could even include theon talking to himself in the darkness about losing his finger or not.
A bit more gollem-like.

That would have been a stronger picture, I think.

Basically, they just keep looting cities and towns while freeing slaves and trading with towns where slavery is not allowed. They're still constantly short of supplies.
