Dany's dragons being stolen was one of the worst storylines ever. And the House of the Undying was ridiculously lame in the show. Talisa over Jeyne was stupid as well.

Also, Jamie raping Cersei next to their dead son was horrendous.

Most of the changes the show has made has turned out like crap. They get lucky every once in a while, but without some foundation (ie, the books), they get silly very quickly.

Really starting to look forward to sunday.
Almost done rewatching all the previous seasons.
My daughter is going to visit for the weekend to watch it with me.
(which is probably why I'm looking forward to it)

This is wise because on the whole it's not a good idea to look forward to things that may never happen. At least we know that HBO will actually finish their version of the story,

It's more the endless hype and speculation I find tiresome.

I'm just generally jaded, I guess.

Book readers still have plenty to spoil for you this season, rah, and the broad strokes of the changes are already known to people who have been following the production.

He should be writing the book everyone wants him to do. He keeps taking on tons of new projects and pushing back the one project everyone wants.

Of course, maybe that is a diliberate marketing strategy. Keep making everyone wait for the popular series and hope they buy some of the less popular stuff while they wait.

I'm just happy that we're getting to the season where I haven't yet read the book so I don't have to worry about things that have changed because I won't know.
But I guess I still will because the differences are always painstakingly detailed in this thread. (I guess you can chalk me up in that "DON'T CARE" group)

My guess is non-book readers aren't aware (and don't care) that the Ironborn were on the wrong side of Westeros.

Yes, he's going to write a book for it afterwards. I hear it will be out in 2025.

I thought Season 3 was stronger. No Karl ****ing Tanner sidequest or ridiculous teleporting Ironborn doing nothing of importance. There are some massive deviations from the books in season 5 and I'm worried it'll turn out horribly.
