That's because it didn't. They specifically mentioned yesterday that the sites are to refund all money to the players. They are even letting PokerStars & FullTiltPoster come online in the US again to facilitate people withdrawing their money.

Feds restoring 2 poker domains to aid refunds

NEW YORK — Federal prosecutors say they expect Internet poker companies whose employees are being prosecuted to return money to players, and they're reactivating two domain names to make it easier for that to happen.

The government announced Wednesday that it has reached agreements with PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. It will restore the companies' domain names so they can return money to U.S. players.

The companies were named in a civil money laundering and forfeiture complaint last week.

Authorities have announced criminal charges against 11 individuals, including employees of those companies and one other.

So far, three of the 11 have been arrested. All are free on bail.

It appears that they will get that money back, though it's not clear when. The government said Wednesday it had reached agreements with PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker to restore the companies' domain names so they can return money to U.S. players. PokerStars said on its website that said it expected cashouts to be available to U.S. residents within several weeks.

It's not Poker Stars and the problem is that people can't get their money. You would be raising hell if someone froze your assets.

From your quote, Poker Stars is the holdup if they're the ones giving the estimates. I imagine it's like a run on a bank, and they need to transfer money from their off-shore accounts, etc.

And I wouldn't be raising hell. Poker Stars is not a bank -- the people who put their money in there should not need it urgently. If they do need it urgently, well, they deserve it. You shouldn't be gambling with money you need right away.
