I would contribute more to this thread if you weren't using these archaic units. I run about 10km (albeit usually indoors) in about 53 minutes...proving to be a struggle to get that one down. I have been doing more swimming recently and managing 3km in just under 1:10 (never too sure of the precise time).

i was doing some running here in the summer. it was around 35-40 degrees (celsius, that is), think the hottest day was 42. i wouldn't recommend it."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

Yeah, the temperatures where I was in Brazil were stifling, and humid too. The problem was this prevented me from doing exercise, however the food is really, really goodSo weight gain was inevitable, although I have got rid of it all now. Although I may well be back to Brazil later this year and early this year so this could be a problem...or I need a hotel with a good gym (should't be hard as I will be in Sao Paulo next time).

it does get extremely hot and humid here, last summer was a real eye opener for me. i'd never experienced temperatures like that before. i was stuck living in a house with no a/c, no fan and no ventilation for a month, it was horrible.
you seem to be back and forth to brasil quite a bit these days ph, how's your portuguese coming along?"The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

It's okay to sweat. Is that what it is? You don't want to get sweaty?"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

The thing is, you Canadians can't handle the heat, anyway, and since most of the earth's surface is warmer than Canada, guess you guys aint so tough after all."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
