Managed to get under 55 minutes for 10,000 metres yesterday, but it was hard going. That needs to come down over the summer.

It's starting to get hot now in most parts of the northern hemisphere... hope yall aint slacking

I had been running early in the morning (5am) where it hadn't gotten hotter than 65F. Ran this afternoon in 89F weather... yikes. What a difference 25 degrees makes

I refuse to run in temps hotter than 70 degrees. Luckily Seattle has allowed me to run every day since the year began.

I wonder if KH will come in here and call you a *****. I mean the man criticizes people who only work 40 hours a week as lazy so if he's consistent, his bad-ass self should mock you.

70F isn't even hot, though. 80+, I can see. 70 is just warm.

There's actually been a study recently that showed that a group either running or cycling in a heated environment outperformed a group in a more comfortable temperature environment.

I don't care what KH thinks though. Also, I can't make Seattle warmer so why fight it.

And since it's coastal I assume winters are very mild as well.

Pretty mild. I mean it rarely drops below the mid 30s in the winter.

So Seattle would be a cool paradise (if a little chilly.. mid-70s in the summer would be better) if not for all the damn rain.

Pretty much. The summers here are awesome but too short.

Is it humid during the summer? that's the one other thing that's kinda awesome about Seattle when it is warm; it's not humid.

In Sweden, it has been a nice warm 65 for most of this month. People talk about how nice it is.

Last year there were a few weeks in July where it was in the low 80s. People talked about a heat wave.

                              It isn't humid.

The google tells me Seattle is more humid than Philadelphia.

In fact, Seattle is apparently one of the most humid cities in America and the general region includes the most humid areas:

However, believe it or not, we have the humidity champ right in our own backyard. Forks, Washington takes the crown for most humid city, averaging 83 percent. Olympia is right behind with an average 78 percent.
                                You don't feel it because:

Why don't we notice it as much? Our dew points (the temperature at which air saturates) are much lower here. Humidity doesn't start to feel uncomfortable until dew points reach over 60 degrees. Around here, they're typically in the 35-50 degree range. Along the Gulf Coast, they're typically between 60 and 70 degrees.
