So the peppers with pasta dish is not cooked (other than the pasta boiled)?

Beef and Barley stew looks dead simple.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Mostly dinner for me, but if you have have something special for another meal, that would be great.

Since some women are vegetarians, I will first suggest Zucchini Fritters.
They mostly consist of zucchini and feta cheese, and scallions and eggs, then some mint and lemon and random spices for flavoring, and flour for thickening. Then you just put them in an oiled frying pan. Their consistancy is kind of like potato pancakes. After stirring, you let them sit for half an hour, and then they only take a few minutes to cook. So you could prepare them, then when she comes over just cook them right in front of her (for bonus points!) and serve with a salad or a bowl of berries or something. or... whip it up in front of her, think of something fun to do for 30 - 40 minutes, then cook them and enjoy.

That sounds very good, betor. I'm a sucker for feta. You just mix it all up, let the bowl sit for a half hour and then throw it in the frying pan like pancakes? Regarding the zucchini, how fine should I slice it?

                    Yup. Use a cheese grater.

rotisserie roasted chicken. One whole chicken, dry rub of choice, a few pats of butter under the skin, rotisserie until done. If you want brush on a bit of olive oil with the dry rub. Tasty and hard to **** up especially if you brine the chicken ahead of time.

As far as I have seen, the recipes on allrecipes aren't that healthy. I'm looking for recipes where I know what all of the ingredients are and they are few.
