No charge on the ATM. But there's only a few ATMs on the island I can use my debit card at, and they're all conveniently located next to the bank and it would be silly to withdraw an amount more than what it would take to buy a snack to eat while waiting for 10am so you can get a decent exchange rate.

I pay nothing for using my banks ATMs and nothing for using other ATMs. I can withdraw money at any place that allows cash back from a purchase, at no charge. I receive 10 cents back on each debit card purchase.

I go through two or three cards a year. Last year my cash back reward was $165.00.

      ACK!

Countries like the US or Australia, for example...

Yeah but what's with this? Why do European banks in America do it as well?

Yeah, my bank has ATMs wherever I've needed them so I don't pay any fees. I think once I was desperate and got charged 1.50 for using a generic ATM.

It is funny thinking back to the original days when ATMs first came out, and people were resistant to the concept. They preferred using tellers, so the banks instituted additional fees sometimes when you used a teller in an attempt to make you use ATMs since it was cheaper for them. My how things change.

I use a teller at the bank every Saturday morning.

They are far prettier than the ATM's.

I need to switch to a bank with a lot of ATM locations. It's such a hassle to switch banks but I guess if I had done it a lone time ago, I'd have more money right now.

They figure that if the American public is going to be stupid enough to pay for free services, why not join in on the fun.

Your bank is open on the weekends?

I've never, in my life, used a teller.

Most of them in Canada are even open Sundays these days... Some banks are open until 8/9pm weeknights also.

I call bull****. You need to go to a teller to set up your first bank account.

Yeah, it is my bank's one and only selling point (not counting the cute tellers).

Not Banco Santander! Nor the company before them that they bought.

I need cash once a week and my bank branch is right beside my grocery store. It's either a teller or an ATM.

                              Easy choice.

                                Nope. Never.
