Another one of Apple's attempted disruptive technologies was iAds, which was somewhat of a failure. Not a flop, but not unexpectedly it's a big problem asking advertisers to pay the premiums that stupid fanboys would.
Meanwhile, Google is basically running away with the mobile ad market.
