With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

More memories of a has been: As recent as 2004 I ran the army PT test with a 10:54 two mile time and a 280 over all score (maxed run and sit ups but only got an 80% of push ups). I've done the 13 miles up and 13 miles back on Mount Whitney (the tallest mountain in the continental US) in one day; that's all up hill for 13 miles up to almost 15,000 ft and then back down. Some might thing going up is hardest, and it is hard since you're always going up hill at high altitude, but going down hill uses an entirely different set of muscles most of us don't use as often. I've also gone down and up in the grand canyon in one day. I was in great shape and still am in decent shape although I doubt I could run two miles in 16 minutes now much less the sub 11 minutes I used too.

Some other memories: Going with my dad (who was 60 years old at the time) and my nephew (my sister's 13 year old son) to Yosemite National Park for the first time. His parents aren't big on the out doors or going any where there isn't a Starbucks but the kid was very exicted to be going with Grampa and Uncle John to a national park. The three of us had fun bike riding on the valley floor and doing some fishing but I wanted to go hiking to Vernal Falls, my dad said he wasn't up for it, so I took the kid with me. I remember feeling good and making good time while the youngster had a hard time keeping up, I was like "yeah, he might be younger but he's tiring out before me" () and then my nephew announced he had to go pee. I told him just pee on one of the trees but he got bashful and said "that isn't right, where is a bathroom?" I explained to him we were on a trail in the middle of no where so there was no bathroom so it was ok to just pee on a tree. I even told him that when a deer or a bear needs to pee they just pee in the forest so it's ok for a young man to pee in the forest as well. A couple months later I was visiting my sister, his mother, and she sternly told me her son had gotten in trouble at school for peeing in the bushes. He had told the teacher who had caught him that his uncle had said it was ok to pee in the bushes.

Indeed. Plus I do indeed own one of those seats. It's just that the seat which came with my Specialized Rockhopper was such an ass busting seat that I bought one with extra padding which also has the penis saver design. Apparently I have a sensitive buttocks as well as a cramp prone calves.

This is the type of bike seat I bought for my bike. It's supposed to save your nuts, shaft, and prostate from the limp dick problem other bike seats can cause. It's actually very comfortable with a nice soft gel seat and a channel where your junk sits without the seat putting pressure on them.

It's happened to me a few times. I'd rate it closer to the "kicked in the nuts" end of the scale. The last time it happened to me I couldn't walk for 2 days afterwards without intense pain from torn muscles.

Same for me the last couple of times I went running. The question is, how long did it take?

To be fair, I have been doing a lot of swimming recently, and I mean a lot. 120 lengths (3km) 3 or 4 times a week in addition to the gym/running once or twice a week.

Even with everything I've been through I've never had a problem staying in shape. I run every day, always take a different route, and get lots of sleep.
