Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila

It may be unlikely or even impossible from a military standpoint to create a new caliphate (comparable to those that existed historically) but if the various countries become independent Islamic theocracies comparable to that in Iran then it's not impossible to envision some type of (at least) loose alignment of states with more unified goals than exist today. We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

I think he was making a joke about the vagueness of your statements and excessive qualifications... may be unlikely... if... not impossible... some type... at least..."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

I'm a scientist, qualification and vagueness is trained into us.
In this case, qualifiying my comment seemed appropriate since I was attempting to predict the future of the middle east, a notoriously hard thing to do.Last edited by SpencerH; February 22, 2011, 13:03.We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

The future of the middle east is easy to predict: WAR!“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”
