For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Are you a vegetarian? Why give a fetus more rights than, say, a pig?

Because I'm a human being, and I value human life more than the life of other creatures.
        John Brown did nothing wrong.

        • The funny thing is, there are probably plenty of pro-choice vegans out there.

          Riddle me that one.

I guess the issue with eggs would be that the hens are being exploited through egg production but wouldn't they produce the eggs anyway? Isn't it part of their menstrual cycle?

Still really weird for vegans to take issue with eating unfertilized eggs but have no problem with abortions.

By human life you mean the lives of human beings? What does that have to do with a part of someone's body? A fetus isn't a human being any more than, say, a human arm.

I disagree completely. Is a kangaroo joey a different kangaroo or just an appendage of its mother?

              • That is silly, fetuses are not body parts. Fetuses eat, breath, ****, and have their own DNA different from that of the mother.

                  • From wiki "A fetus (pronounced /ˈfiːtəs/; also spelled foetus, fœtus, faetus or fætus, see below) is a developing mammal or other viviparous vertebrate after the embryonic stage and before birth."

Apparently it doesn't count if it does so via an umbilical cord.

Who cares? Either way it's not a human being.

You're the one trying to tell other people what to do with their body parts

                          • How the hell does a fetus eat? By having nutrients delivered through the mother's circulatory system? By that definition my arm eats and breathes

Now you're just being an idiot. It's an analogy, something I'm confident you're smart enough to realize. But in case you need it spelled out for you: Joey:Kangaroo::Fetus:Human being, at least with respect to whether it's another member of its species or a limb.

                              • Identical twins have nearly identical DNA, so I guess a pair of identical twins is a single human being, if we're going by DNA
