My point is that arguing against gun control or greater regulations by bringing up baseball bats, knives, or other objects is stupid when in reality, most of these violent acts were committed with guns.

You never want to be caught with one less round than you needed.

If you're in a situation where you need to fire thirty rounds in rapid succession, there are basically two possibilities:

1. You're Bruce Willis in Die Hard
2. Your aim is so atrocious that you're a menace to yourself and others.

Being ready to defend our homeland as part of the militia is one of these duties, just as fundamental as voting and serving on juries. So one person isn't expected to get into a firefight alone, nor carry thousands of rounds of ammunition. But if every mentally sound and able bodied man is armed to the teeth, then you will have the firepower that you need.

Sounds like an argument for vigilante justice. Better to have the people carry out justice than some obedient servants of the state.

I'm not entirely opposed to vigilantism. People have a right to defend themselves, and shouldn't have to rely on a possibly corrupt and often ineffective legal system.

Justice is more important to me than laws.

According to Wiki in 2009 and 2008 the USA was safer than Argentina 5 to 5.45 and and 5.4 to 5.8 (per 100.000), and in 2007 and 6 Argentina was safer 5.26 to 5.6 and 5.27 to 5.7

The great difference between the USA and Argentina is that Argentina has a quite even murder rate all over its territory while the USA comines many areas of extreme safety in which people don't lock their doors and leave their keys in their car, with very high non suburb urban crime, in some places like Detroit, with almost colombian levels of violence.

And by murdering wackos I mean people who begin to shoot other people for no reason, not people who kill to steal cars. I can only remember two cases here of murdering wackos, one who was mentally ill and put into a lunatic asylum, and another a kid who shot another guy in high school because the whole classroom would make fun of him.
