Again... they are simply people doing what they feel is right. If they think it's GOD telling them that... fine. It doesn't change the fact that they are doing something... just like many people who do things without the fantasy of thinking that God is telling them to do it.

And if you want to go down that path... If GOD did a better job, he wouldn't need to tell people to clean up after him. Because frankly, thousands of "Mother Teresas" couldn't even begin to make a dent in stopping the suffering caused by "God's Plan".

You can't have it both ways... either God is telling Mother Teresa to be good and also telling Priests to rape children, or the simple fact is, some people are good, and some are bad. People's motivations are their own. They can base them on God if they wish, but they don't have to. It's possible to do the right thing without believing that GOD made you do it... or to do the wrong thing and not believe the Devil made you do it.
I bet you do more than Imran does. I bet you've made him feel guilty because although he's the one that believes in a supposedly good god - you're the one that's actually lifting a finger and doing good deeds for other people.

In fact, after far as I can tell, the motivation he 'chose' Christianity is so that he can boink some tail...

Nahhh... he's stating that GOD is responsible for all the suffering, since it's his plan. The only way his God can teach us anything is to make us suffer. Unless we suffer, we can't learn anything. There is no other method that God knows of besides suffering to teach humans anything. That's one dumb God...

Yeah, maybe. I do want to give props to those that do. Religious organizations often lead the way. It's the most positive thing that religions do IMO. It may not offset all the evils done in the name of religion but I'm glad they do as much as they do. There have been many priests and nuns that had a positive impact in my life which I appreciated. The church does do some positive things. (I just wanted to say that since I'm usually bashing the church)

          • Sooo why did God decide to create beings that need suffering to learn? Great idea God, make suffering necessary.

You seem to be stuck on this particular thing, raping children. There is all kinds of evil in the world. How can you learn forgiveness without it? Does a little child who knows nothing of suffering understand forgiveness?

                • In fact, how ****ing arrogant of the average religious person that chooses their religion...

How is it up to you to choose which religion to follow!? How can a person, a mere mortal tell, which is the one true religious and actively disbelieve in all the rest as phonies - vehemently as atheists disbelieve in ALL religion!!?

Often with strings attached: As long as you convert to their religion from your religion...

Of course there is another way. You can learn like a school boy out of a book or something. I'm just saying that you don't become like the truth that way. You simply know the truth.

Or the whole barbaric 'survival of the fittest' cycle of life, for that matter...

Yep... there are all kinds of evil in this world... and one of the biggest is how the catholic church handled it's own evil.

And again... there are better ways to learn forgiviness than many of the serious evils that are a part of your God's plan.
We can learn without having to suffer. A god that doesn't know that is not all knowing.
