Saying "A is like B in this way" does not mean you think A has all of the characteristics of B. Wezil thinks religion is BS, like homeopathy, but he never said anything about whether homeopathy is incompatible with science or not.
Except he disagreed with me when I said that the claims of Science and Religion were not incompatible.

I called you retarded because you stated you weren't responding to me earlier.
Perhaps you are just dishonest instead.
You said Homeopathy was similar to Religion.
I said it wasn't, that the claims of Homeopathy were inherently contradictory to the claims of Science while this isn't true for Religion.
You disagreed.
We argued for a while, you disagreeing with my statement that many current famous scientists didn't find Science and Religion to be inherently contradictory and so it was not.
Finally you said that you had no time for arguing, not being able to argue against any of my points you just gave up and said it was over.
Wezil never said "no, there haven't been scientists who were religious". He didn't see the relevance. He asked for evidence for religion, saying that religion, like homeopathy, doesn't offer sufficient proof for him to take it seriously.
Except he disagreed with me when I said that the claims of Science and Religion were not incompatible.

No, when he was talking about it "not being his duty" to disprove your claims I think he was talking about your claims that Jesus has supernatural powers.
And please provide a link to your "research" so that we can all see the actual basis of it, vs just a random sound bite.
You may have to actually read a book. It's Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decision written by an economist who did the research by the name of Dan Ariely.
The results surprised even us: the students who had been asked to recall the Ten Commandments had not cheated at all. They averaged three correct answers-the same basic score as the group that could not cheat, and one less than those who were able to cheat but had recalled the names of books.

Huh?
Is your argument that Wezil is illiterate?
I don't understand the 'no, there haven't been scientists who were religious' comment. This is very different than 'many current famous scientists don't find Science and Religion to be inherently contradictory and so it is not' which Wezil disagreed with.
Maybe he disagreed with my post without reading it or understanding it.
He did not ask for evidence for religion, posts 558, 556, and 550 clearly follow posts 555 and 548. My claim was that the claims of Religion and Science were not inherently incompatible (unlike those of Homeopathy and Science).
He explicitly in post 550 responded to my claim with 'saying it and believing it doesn't make it' and to my further explicit statement (in 555) with 'Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. Present your evidence.' in post 558.

Regardless I think there are people who have posted on this thread who would say that religion and science are incompatable (MOBIUS and MikeH come to mind based on previous conversations if not the one in this thread).
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Bingo.
I wouldn't go into the argument Jon wanted as it involves first determining which particular flavour of the fairy tale he subscribes to. I haven't the time for that.
If he wants to take my flippant comments (after I made clear I wasn't going to indulge him) as an argument that is up to him I guess.

"I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it." - Mark Twain
I am not the one who appears to be incapable of reading.
Where was I making claims that Jesus has supernatural powers near Wezil's posts beginning at post 550?
Why would you argue that he was arguing against that claim unless you are arguing that he is illiterate considering I didn't make that claim in the posts immediately preceding his?
Please, be honest.
Unless you are illiterate too?

Apparently you can't count either as the posts I have been quoting is before post 582.

Well, I for one am still waiting for one of the religionistas on this thread to provide proof of God's existence - despite repeated requests on the subject...
The major difference between Science and Religion, as far as I can tell, is that science seeks to prove its theories - whereas religion strikes me as doing it's level best to avoid proving them.
Call me some more names Jon. Nothing gets me going like seeing that christian love in action.

I see your pride is stopping you from admitting you misunderstood Wezil.

Don't worry, it's Jon's equivalent of a smokescreen so he can continue to ignore all the really hard questions that have been put to him - you're his decoy...

No proof = blind faith in my book.
The problem might be that they are trying to prove an idea that wasn't based on evidence to begin with.
