Same reason that Ozzy cares about youth rights even though he has no hope or intention of being young again?

KH, are you deliberately trying to be an idiot?

He's making a valid point, but very badly.

Indeed. And you'd think this would be obvious.

Not in the slightest. We are talking about a historically denigrated minority, discriminated because of an ickiness factor, trying to become equal compared a minority who is discriminated due to geographic reasons.

That's not the point, that's his poor analogy.

Well its the best analogy to illustrate his craptastic point.

It reminds me of sex discrimination laws, which resulted in golf clubs no longer being allowed men-only bars, following a campaign by a woman who had never played golf in her life. She joined numerous clubs and campaigned to have access to the male-only bar simply to prove a point about "anachronistic" and chauvinistic clubs.

People jokingly wondered why she didn't do the same for male only restrooms and changing rooms at the clubs.

I literally yelled out in joy when I heard DADT passed filibuster and then passed the Senate. And I have no intention of military service nor am I gay.

If we're suppose to advocate for civil rights issues that only directly affect ourselves, why did a significant number of white people support the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s?
