Yes, you would. It's the kind of thing that uneducated teenagers say to try to sound cool.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”

Broadway interaction between Asher and the teenager
I don't know what you what, MrFun. This isn't really the forum for it. You post this on a gay forum and I'm sure there will be a lot of personal experiences (some sad some feel good) that people will give, with a lot of emotional support given, discussion about what can be done within the community and outside of it, mentioning of groups already involved and what people can do to help, etc. This isn't a site where we have much to talk about this issue.
Fine. If you want a debate. I've contended this for years and I will say it again... bullying (within reason) serves a purpose. It's a shame some kids are such spineless pussies that they commit suicide over it (I blame the parents, not the bullies for not raising their kids to have any strength of character) but bullying teaches kids about societal norms, when and how to stand up for yourself, builds a self-identity, etc.
I understand that these gay teens are kind of caught in an emotional turmoil because they don't know what to think and society still for the most part views homosexuality as something 'wrong' so they are especially sensitive, even moreso than average teenagers, to become depressed over outing or treatment of their outing. If only they persevered, I think they would have learned a valuable lesson that would help them greatly in their lives, something which they would not have learned if everyone was all like "We are all special and love each other no matter what!" That attitude in the formative years would breed nothing but spineless pussies who can't handle anything."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Question for you, Mr. Fun.
So no one except for Asher and I care about the senseless loss of lives.
Yet nothing for the black man.
You've never done anything for my community Mr. Fun. Why is this? Why have you not spoken for them?Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

WTF are you talking about? What's a Black Green Lantern, and where does he reference it? Hal Jordan was in fact the Green Lantern. This is the kind of problem you get yourself into when you want to disagree with Ben over everything he says, and then don't bother reading.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

He was a Green Lantern who was Black.
Ben's post would have been more interesting if that was the Green Lantern that he was referencing... a Black guy helping the aliens of the universe while not his own people. That would be an interesting concept. But I guess the comic book writers, not surprisingly, didn't think of that and had one of the white guys do given that question."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

And some people say that I have reading comprehension problems.
It's a black man, talking to Green Lantern. Does that clear it up for you, sparky?Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

I meant if it was the Black Green Lantern talking to a Black dude it would make for a much more compelling question.
And Ben's reference would imply that Ben was gay, just as the Green Lantern was Black... but it's another Green Lantern that was posed the question... a Green Lantern who was white. Not the Green Lantern who was Black."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

But that wasn't his question, and it makes it more compelling to you. Besides that you make up more fantasy with your observation that he's saying he's (BEN, to make sure you understand) is Gay.
Drop this one and go attack him on some other subject. You're failing here.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

This is the comic I was referring to. "No Evil shall escape my sight". 1970.
As to the rest, Albert, when I use the term, "my community", what might I be referring to. Obviously, I'm referring to Mr. Fun taking a stand for just gay people and not members of other communities that suffer from bullying as well. It's easy to be an advocate for your own people, and ignore the plight of others.
Interesting. Albert, who is my age didn't get the reference while Slowwy got it right away. File that away in why I was born in the wrong generation.
And no, I'm not black. My profile picture is up there.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.
