See, Boris? Your attitude speaks volumes. It's perfectly fine, since someone else protested it in the past.

Of course I do find it a bit hypocritical for people to protest burning a holy book by burning a flag.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

What else should we call it when someone says that a group of people building something for their faith is "similar" to someone engaging in a hateful act of deliberate provocation? If someone said that a group building a Christian church is "similar" to group of radical atheists burning Bibles, I'd say the same thing. It's a mind-boggling stupid comparison.

And there wasn't an outcry over that? I seem to recall that several U.S. senators decried it, the artist lost grants, the work was vandalized repeatedly and there was a great deal of furor over it...

...and the artist didn't even intend it to be an attack on anyone's religion (the artist is a Catholic), which is the "funny" part.

I seem to recal that the provacative exhibit went ahead as scheduled.

Has anyone here, or with any stature in public, said that Reverend Dumbass McHickerton shouldn't be allowed to burn the Koran? If so, I haven't heard it.

You're right. That was nonsensical. I should have been simply paraphrasing Imam Rauf's arguments about being socially provocative and how useless that is when seeking to have an influence on others and building bridges between communities.

The pastor had the right to burn the books. I hope there was no law enforcement that forced him to stop. He was fully within his rights.

That said, book burning is completely meaningless and I do not approve of this kind of troublemaking. Then again, getting riled up over this **** makes you retarded, too.
